Maybe not, but "The Colour And The Shape" has to be one of the greatest albums of the 90s.
I've just listened to it all the way through, not one song was rubbish, that doesn't happen very often, I normally have to skip a few.
I think you resign yourself to the fact that you'll have to do that on most of the albums you buy, so when one comes along and you don't need to do any skipping, it stands out with it's awesomeness (I checked, it is a word).
Anyway, it's THE perfect album, if you haven't got it, buy it/borrow/copy/steal it*
None of their other albums are as good, the debut (self titled) is weak, with a couple of stand out tracks, "There Is Nothing Left To Loose" is a bit 'cheesy' and formulaic, "one by one" is fairly good, I suppose that's in second place, 90% of it is worth a listen, although the singles got overplayed by the UK radio stations. "In Your Honour", I didn't even bother listening to more than once.
"Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" is released in the UK tomorrow, seeing as it's produced by Gil Norton, who worked on "The Colour And The Shape", I'm hoping it will live up to my expectations from such a great band, and from what I've heard, it will.
Dave Grohl is the man too, so that's a good enough reason to buy the new album I reckon.
*don't steal it, stealing is wrong.
